June 10, 2009 Galveston and Kemah

After a dart gun war, we headed for the Johnson Space Center Houston which was only about three miles from the RV Park.

This demo told about the area the astronauts live in during the flight. Panels like the one seen here cover all four walls of the space crafts since the weightlessness in space never mades one feel upside down so all our walls are used.

The building which houses Mission Control. The tour was taken to the viewing room outside of the original Mission Control that was used until 1996. Very cool!!!

This Space Module Training Center holds mock ups of the Space Shuttle and the Space Station where each module is used for training and problem solving prior to blast off.

The white vehicle above is the newest Lunar rover to be used in 20?? when we go to the moon the next time.

Hang on girls!!!
The Space Center has a huge collection of Star Wars and Indiana Jones memorabilia of George Lucas that we enjoyed. For little kids there were many activities related to the movies that really looked like fun.
