We traveled from above Chicago IL to Toledo Ohio in a long day of driving. Chicago turned out to be too much trouble and too time consuming to tackle. We would have had to find a place to board Matty while we took mass transit to downtown and we didn’t have a good plan of what we wanted to see once we got down there so we just decided to drive around it. Just doing that turned out to be a time-consuming effort with highway construction most of the way. The toll road was somewhat intimidating, but it didn’t cause Terry to pause at all. He just tacked it like he would a Sunday drive, however the tension was very high most of the day. Driving anywhere from 45 to 70 in two to five lanes of traffic has him very tired tonight.
We are camped at a KOA just south of Toledo Ohio. We left the campground below Milwaukee about 10 am CST and arrived at the KOA about 9 pm EST. A long day! The Olympics are such a good way to unwind. Tomorrow we will drive up I90 along Lake Erie towards Niagara Falls.
