8/23/08 Day of Rest in Niagara Falls KOA

8/23/08 Day of Rest in Niagara Falls KOA
Today was a day of rest, laundry and Olympics. The showers here are fantastic which can’t always be said for KOAs or state parks, but we both really savored the showers. At the Point Beach State Park in Wisconsin the water smelled very bad. Not really the rotten egg smell, but I was sure glad that I didn’t smell that way when I was through. Terry hasn’t decided exactly where we will go, but that doesn’t matter right now. On east along Lake Ontario is my guess and then up across New Hampshire and Vermont to Maine to the Atlantic. He is my miracle man and wherever he wants to go right now is fine with me.

A reality check is facing us in the form of the need for Terry to have his port flushed in the next week or so. Flushing the port involves accessing it by flushing it with saline and it has to be done in the setting of a cancer center or hospital. I talked to the cancer center in Spokane last week and found how to get hooked up with a facility here and that doesn’t seem to difficult. We just have to do it. Once that is done, then we can ignore it again until his next CT Scan.
