9/10/08 From the Hummer3 to Home
Wednesday brought us sunshine and a fixed RV. Since we already had the Hummer for the day, we left the RV in Auburn, about an hour north of Portland, and drove to Kennebunkport just south of Portland. We couldn’t be this close and pass up a chance to see the summerhouse
of former President Bush and other fancy estates in that area. Matty made her political statement when she pooped on the fringe of the yard as we walked by the guardhouse. Honest, without prompting from anything or me!
We were so glad to get into the RV and start down the road. In Old Orchard Beach, which really isn’t near the beach, we stayed at a KOA that was lovely. Shelly, you did a good job steering us to the KOAs. All of them have been clean and nice places to lay our heads.
Terry decided we were going to the NASCAR race in Loudon, New Hampshire which is only a couple of hours away from here so we hoped on the Internet and got tickets. That in itself was an adventure since we didn’t have a clue as to the layout of the track so we did the best we could with the few pictures we scrounged up on the Internet. We’ll find a camping spot tomorrow near there. Hope that doesn’t turn into too much of a problem! Of course we are excited and don’t know what to
expect.
