Wed. 7/30/08 Relaxing with laundry and the military channel

7/30/08  Wed. After sleeping on the motor and water problems, Terry decided to get the radiator flushed, the fan belt tightened and the water leak fixed before we leave Rapid city.  Only one small problem, couldn’t find anyone to work on the radiator or fan belt until Friday.  With it being the week before the Sturgis Rally, repair places are very busy. The same RV repair place that helped us out on Monday was able to fit us in today so the leak will be fixed which was what Terry felt was the most pressing problem.  He says we can live with the radiator and fan belt situation for now.  We considered ourselves lucky when we go to the RV repair place because their was a rig with a slide out stuck in the out position and it was sagging.  Those folks are from Vermont. Whew!  Thank heavens we just have a leak.  After an hour or so, we were out of there and on our way to Ellsworth Air Force Base Museum.

The museum was amazing and Terry really enjoyed all aspects of it probably more than I did, but he is the military person in the family.  There were many plans outside which Terry recognized and had some personal history or recognition, which made it really impressive for him.  The B-52 was just huge when we were standing under it and the     B-1B was enormous compared to the B-52.  Both of them are big and black and menacing.

A grocery store stop added to our larder and we came on back to the KOA.  Laundry, dinner and postcards in that order and then Terry found a military show on the TV and it felt like home.
