9/07/08 First Day in Greeley’s Garage parking lot

9/07/08 First Day in Greeley’s Garage parking lot
I got up to find the wind and rain from Tropical Storm Hana had indeed stopped by early morning like the weatherman predicted after 12 hrs of continual rain. Flood warnings were out last night for small streams with 3-5 inches of rain predicted and the parking here were running streams of water. Matty carefully picked her way between streams as she tried to find a place to potty in the hard rain. We both were wet when we returned inside the bus. The bus didn’t leak which means Terry’s repairs were effective. The breeze is stiff enough and cool enough to dry out what was wet and keep the humidity down to be a comfortable day.

Terry talked to Ralph at Greeley’s again today who told him that there is a truck stop up the road where we can stay while they work on our rig. Terry also brought a phonebook back with him and looked up several other hotels in the area. Should be interesting carting our stuff and Matty to a hotel, but we were lucky in Minnesota to be able to stay in the rig while they worked on it. This will be a much bigger job and staying inside a loud, smelly shop just isn’t in the cards this time.
