9/22/08 Gateway Arch in St. Louis

9/22/08 Gateway Arch in St. Louis
The Gateway Arch in St. Louis is amazing. Up in the Arch, Terry took some awesome pictures of St. Louis at 630 feet in the air. Just an amazing feat of engineering! Since we are headed west after seeing so much of the history of the New England states, this was truly a turn towards home. We are ready to head for home, but there is much to see of our nation between St. Louis and home.

Tonight we are in Columbia, MO along I-70 and I am glad that it is near the end of September. I remember when Linda and I were here in August of ’83. It was 86 degrees at 5 AM and the humidity was so high it felt like you were swimming in the air. Tonight the air is sweet, cool, and the humidity is low. Just great for camping!
