9/28/08 Yellowstone Falls - What a sight!

9/28/08 Yellowstone Falls - What a sight!
We went into Yellowstone after leaving the Grand Tetons headed towards home. I hadn't seen the Yellowstone Falls so we went that way through the park. The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone was truly amazing. We both saw things that we hadn't seen on previous trips through the park. Buffalo was the only animal we saw, but we did see people stopped along the roads to take pictures of geese in the rivers. I guess people will take pictures of anything! Even the fall colors of the trees and bushes had cars stopped along the road taking pictures. Of course those of us coming upon the scene were sure there must be a moose or something in those trees. Nope, just fall foliage at it's finest. Sure would have been nice to see a moose since we didn't see any on this trip.

We had a blow out of a back tire just a mile from the KOA in Bozeman so we were later getting to camp than we planned. AAA to the rescue again. Tomorrow it will be the order of the day to get the tire fixed. We probably are going to camp for a few days before heading on home. We are just too tired to go home and start the unpacking that will need to happen when we get there so a few days of rest from a 10 week, grand vacation is in order.

Thank you for joining us as we traveled the nation. We have many stories to tell and way, way too many pictures to show.
