Traveling from Twin Falls thru Salt Lake City to below Provo we found the Oasis Campground at Yuba State Park on a little reservoir off I-15. There were no hook-ups, but the weather was in the 60s in the early evening, there were new bathrooms and only three camping rigs in the park. The water was a clear blue surrounded by sage brush, mud, rocks and a few trees that provided some shade in the middle of no where. The transmission dumped fluid on the ground while we were leveling the RV and Terry was worried that a seal had gone bad. After cleaning up the fluid the best as we could, we enjoyed a quiet, cool night however the reality of a blown transmission weighed heavy on us both.
Monday, May 11The morning brought good news from the Ford dealer in the nearest town and we drove the rig into his dealership where he serviced the transmission and deemed us ready to continue on our adventure. Gas prices are slowly climbing, but today we paid $2.139 at Flying J stations along the way after paying $2.099 yesterday. We took Hwy 28 out of Nephi and then Hwy 89 to Hwy 12 which took us to the Red Canyon Indian RV Park and cable TV so we could watch Dancing with the Stars. Wouldn't want to miss our stars!
